Ed,

I'm actually kid of surprised that you didn't get the kid the 400 MHz unit.

The kid is rapidly appropriating it, and I don't really mind. As you say, it makes sense.

The point is that the hardware has outrun the applications, and until they come up with some things we need to do that need more and more speed and capacity, a lot fewer people are going to see a need to upgrade their units. Which is not so great for PC and chip makers.
