Mike,

first of all you are completely wrong in your premise that " The stocks in the index trade on the OTC:BB." I have yet to research every stock on the index but I know for a fact that IATV is not a BB stock.

Thanks for pointing out my error - I wouldn't say completely wrong, but hey, lets not quibble over details. Anyways, I updated my logic and simplified it so that the truly "entertaining" can understand it. It now looks like this.

1. This new thread covers about 20 stocks many of which trade on the OTC:BB

2. Most OTC:BB threads contain more than their fair share of morons.

=> There are likely to be a lot of morons posting on the new thread.QED

Even with your recommended modification to the logic (and my simplification of it) the conclusion hasn't changed!

It was my intention to call this the "Sladek Hypothesis" when I published this in "Journal of the American Moron Association (JAMA)" (a peer review journal of course), but thanks to your extensive input, are entitled to 2nd author billing if you want. I would gladly publish this as the "Sladek-Reichenberg Conjecture" if you want. I think that it has a nice ring to it. I must insist that my name goes first, since I did most of the pioneering work in the development of this hypothesis.

I didn't know there were people on SI who really get their kicks "trolling for morons."

You know, sometimes we don't have to go looking for them, they just show up on the thread!

Hey, I know a place you can all look - it's called the mirror.

I didn't know the mirror was a place, I thought it was an object.Your compliment comes a bit late - I was Honoured with the coveted Thread Moron nomination a long time ago.

Regards,
John Sladek
