PSFT is showing their new service at the National Retail Federation's (NRF) 88th Annual Convention and Expo, being held Jan. 17-20, 1999, at the Jacob Javits Center in New York. The stock has been trading with hight volume over the last couple weeks. Fri. price 23 9/16, up 1 3/4 or 8%. Has had some spikes recently due, I think to rumors of buy outs and buy ups. May want to put this one on you radar list. (IMHO)

Kronos Alliance With PeopleSoft Gives Retailers Best-of-Breed Advantage for
Frontline Labor Management; Kronos Achieves Certification

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 18, 1999--Kronos(R) Incorporated (Nasdaq:KRON), the industry leader in frontline labor
management solutions, today announced certification of the interface between Kronos' Timekeeper(R) system and PeopleSoft Time and
Labor. In addition Kronos reported significant progress in the retail market between Kronos and PeopleSoft, Inc. (Nasdaq:PSFT) as a
result of the relationship originally formed between the companies in May 1998.

The announcement was made in conjunction with the National Retail Federation's (NRF) 88th Annual Convention and Expo, being held
Jan. 17-20, 1999, at the Jacob Javits Center in New York. Kronos is exhibiting in Booth #919; PeopleSoft is exhibiting in Booth
#100/101. During the NRF convention, a Kronos representative will present details of the recently certified interface between Kronos'
Timekeeper system and PeopleSoft Time and Labor, as well as information regarding the anticipated certification to PeopleSoft Payroll.
The presentations will take place once a day in PeopleSoft's booth.

Kronos and PeopleSoft currently share 30 retail customers, with systems serving more than two million retail associates.

Some of the recent milestones that have resulted from the working relationship between Kronos and PeopleSoft:

--Kronos' receipt of certification from PeopleSoft for its Timekeeper time and attendance system interface to PeopleSoft Time and Labor;
and

--Kronos' anticipated receipt of certification from PeopleSoft for its Timekeeper system interface to PeopleSoft Payroll. PeopleSoft
expects to award the certification to Kronos in February.
