Holding, holding, holding, ......................

Oh well guess I'll just place the order at Brown and pay some low 6.5% margin interest.

Then when I finally get an answer, I can request a check to send to BROWN.

Order entered at Brown.

Holding, holding, STILL HOLDING ON, 15 minutes now, hohum, deedum, snore, doze, check my mail, still holding, fumble bumble, just read the sports page, ORDER FILLED AT BROWN, holding still, on hold, put the phone down, checked back, still on hold, holding, holding, SELL ORDER ENTERED AT BROWN, holding, holding, holding, holding,.............................................................................Still holding on

It was not just Ameritrade, Etrade had the same problem. I am sick of this garbage with Etrade - if it were not for IPO's at Etrade I would not use them at all. They have better service than they used to but it still is poor days like this morning. I did manage to short 450 shares of Ameritrade today at 51 7/8 but otherwise Etrade response time and order confirmation were terrible.

I don't know if any of you are short on this thread, but I'd be interested in any opinions on if you think AMTD or EGRP are a better short. I want to use one as a hedge against my long internet positions as I think when/if the sector corrects these two stock should take it pretty hard. Any opinions, or is everyone here long AMTD?
