Today we asked users to comment on the update sound, most everyone said they liked the current sound. One thing we are looking at is possibly using different sounds according to the importance of the news itself. In a few days we will have an option for a pop-up alert window for users who have no sound, this will be great for laptop users. If anyone out there has suggestions on a different sound just forward me the .wav file, it has to be small. Under 35k would be good. Gravitar

Hi, the concept of Newsplay.com is to deliver news that has potential to move a stock as quickly as possible to the user. We use an automatic update page that has an audio alert. Since Newsplay is such a new project we are still in the development stage, there are no other free services of this type in existence that we know of. Right now we are trying to see what kind of user base we can build from word of mouth only, we have no advertising expenses as of yet. The potential is enormous, there are so many pay sites around that give stock picks and news but they all charge and I think we are much faster than any of them.
