George, it may take awhile before it sinks in for them that the pound of flesh total death has to be reached. Hopefully after it does sink in they will also be outraged and write Congress to CHANGE the way efficacy models are set up by the FDA and their lackeys, NOT do away with efficacy studies BUT make them more reasonable and don't let efficacy stand in the way of getting drugs to market. Let people decide for themselves! Let them along with their PRIVATE physician decide what course of therapy is best for THEM. I unlike others have more faith in the general public.

You asked:"I am confused about the triggering source for all this talk about total
deaths being the end point in determining when to halt the P-3. Was it Xoma or
Murphy? If Xoma, was it Ellen
or Castello? What was said by whom and when?"

Your response, George

I think all of the above has answered.

Where? I have read, once again, all of the posts from the last few days. There has been no direct answer to the simple question posed by opalapril above. It is amusing, George, that when it suits your needs, you can pontificate on anything and everything, real or imagined; yet, when you can't substantiate your statements, you haughtily declare that it is "time to move on to other issues."
