dpl,

Pre market trading is a little odd, as the MM's are not obliged to honor any quotes. One must trade off the prints more than what is displayed in Level II.

I bet I only do on average one or two premarket trades a month. I almost always cross an existing ISLD or sometimes ARCA. If I am adding liquidity i use ISLD. You can cross INCA by using ARCA or by phoning into the trading desk. Also by phoning in you can get displayed thru INCA if you wish. Post market is the same idea.

I have no clue about listed and , as I am sure you know, many stocks don't trade premarket anyway. It is a very specialized deal, but it definitely is neat to have and to use if only sparingly.
