All: re: DLJ Direct

I just want to let everyone know the trouble I am having with DLJ Direct. First, last week, they refused to place an order for NAVR because it trades "cash on hand only." Nowhere on the site did it say this. The usual DLJ rule is that if the stock is OTC BB or is under $3.00 you must have cash on hand. All other stocks, allegedly, must be settled within 3 days. DLJ is not following its own rules and this cost me getting NAVR at 14... I finally purchased at 16 3/4. I still think it is a good buy, but I forfeited 2 3/4 points because of their incompetence.

Second, I sent a check to DLJ on Jan. 6. I have still not received notification that my account was credited. DLJ usually (all previous times) posted a checks received message on my welcome page and also e-mailed me. I called my bank today to stop payment and move on without DLJ, only to find out it was posted on Jan. 12. I checked my balance and, miraculously, the check was credited to my account without DLJ notifying me by posting or via e-mail.

I am going to close my account out with DLJ.

Just wanted to let everyone know what's going on there.
