John,

Here's what they have to say about it on the Compaq thread:

The stock turned right as the Faber story hit the screen. Faber said he hears more internet deals are coming at CPQ, one was 'supposed' to be announced today but might have been delayed. He also said CPQ would eventually spin off 20% of it's internet activities to the public.

and:

Faber said that CPQ was ready to make the announcement this morning of a pact with a major internet player, but that they decided not to do it today. As John has already said, they plan to sell 20% of the created company to the public. Perhaps someone else can provide more. I'm certain that as the news leaks out, CNBC will stay on top of it, as Faber broke the story. This will mean LOTS of CNBC coverage for us!!! YESSSSSSS!!! El
