Hello Steve. Still grinding my teeth at the thought of all that snow you've got.

Looks like the Bovespa is an island of strength today, along with the NASDAQ. Apparently some optimism surrounding the upcoming votes.

Late on Friday I purchased some TBH Feb. 70 Calls, in an uncharacteristic fit of optimism. Rookie trade - probably means that it has a better chance of success than most .

Once again, the spotlight is on the Brazilian Congress as the world watches. I recall a post from last December pointing out that the the administration made a fatal flaw in its last presentation of the SS reform bill to congress by including a matter on legislators pay in the bill. If the administration can keep the IMF at arms length (plus 1,000 km or so) they will learn from this, and will win this time. Guess I've become so cynical by now that I just have to laugh, and hope.

Saludos.
