Maybe, maybe not.

IMO, short-term currency movements are a random walk, and time spent trying to guess their movements is wasted effort. Therefore, I ignore it in decision-making. I remember a long discussion on the AMAT thread, not so long ago, about how weak the yen would get in relation to the dollar. Lots of argument about whether the yen would go below 150 to the dollar. Go figure.

Anyway, 30 seems to be holding, on higher-than-average volume. I'm more interested in when everyone will quit worrying about Y2K, and when Japan will start buying oil/semi-equip/enterprise software again.
