Pfizer came out with earnings for past quarter:

Looks like with the doors opened in Europe Viagra only brought in only a measly $95M. That's pretty sad compared to the over $400M brought in domesticly during Viagra's first quarter of sales in the USA (and it wasn't even for 3 full months).

Seeing that Europe has a significantly larger population than the US, I believe that these figures show us that the European mentality does not equal that of the US ie everyone jumping on the pill popping band wagon. I think Astra's plan to wait for the initial Viagra hoopla to pass followed by the bad news of reported deaths will be an excellent marketing move. When Astra launches MUSE throughout Europe, you can bet that they will focus their marketing on the SAFETY PROFILE of MUSE while the European media slowly reports of the continuous flow of Viagra deaths.
