Found this post on the YAHOO-MUEI thread
(Don't put too much stock in rumors - pun intended, sounds a little hyped to me)

Compaq has been rumored to be interested in MUEI for over 2 years. I heard a market rumor again that Compaq may be in the process of renewing discussions with Micron regarding a possible acquisition to extend their on-line presence.

If the rumor is true, I would expect MUEI to fetch between $26-30/share. What CPQ would be getting is a prime direct seller with dramatically cleaner operations, a stronger balance sheet, and improved distribution logistics versus the "Micron of old" during the last series of merger talk. Stock for Stock deal?

Hold on to your hats, folks!!
