Someone said yesterday... and coincedentally I heard recently on NPR (not sure if it was a suggestion or reporting) that the right could unify its pro-family (aka nutcase) and fiscal conservative factions with a tax cut for child care providers, stay at home moms and the like. (I thought they already did that btw and Im not happy about it - more favoritism for stay at home moms vs. working moms who really need it). Anyway the feedback was strongly negative - a caller phoned in calling it my favorite term: "social engineering"! The right should change its name from the party of values to the party of social engineering policy.
