Just my impression but I think Forbes' passion is for the economic issues. To be a serious candidate you have to fill out you opinion set on all the issues of the day. But I have no doubt that a President Forbes would focus his attention on straightening out government finances.

My feeling is that any surplus should be used to reduce debt. It works in personal life, should work on the federal level. Since 1/3 the federal budget is debt service then by getting rid of the deficit we increase the tax collection by 33%.
