The funding for education department is approximately 45-50 billion. The funding for public education is over 450 billion. A figure that was published several years ago. The localities property taxes and state budgets fund education. States fund the state colleges and other public education facilities.

<<? Education is primarily funded locally. Property taxes, you know.>>

There's another problem. I have no off spring and pay $13,500 per year in local taxes. $8,100 goes to the school districts. The guy down the road who has 4 kids and lives in a trailer pays $85 or $51 toward the schools.

I with no kids pay $8,100 and the guy with 4 kids pays $51. We need a head tax like England.
