OFF TOPIC, not a daytrading post..re STEM cells
Not looking for short term investment here

No worries, I don't think there are any really
short term investments that will pay off to the
degree which would substantiate taking the risk!
Well, I know Aastrom has approval in Europe but
they have some real competition right? I guess
if a person has an ethical problem with fetal
stem cell use, then astm might be a good play--
just placenta blood right...of course that actually
played into why I have not maintained a position
in that one...who is going to pay to store the
blood when their kid is born?

I really don't know the answer to all this, I threw
my dart at ctii because I did a couple hours surfing
around on the patent server and saw the encapsulation
stuff, but Amgen, Organogenesis, Advanced Tissue Science,
Immunex, Genzyme, Medimmune, CellPro, and Cytogen all
have a stake in this too apparently...so if a person
wanted a "safer" big cap name, well there you are.
Of course you don't get a lot of bang for your buck
either.

I'd suggest rooting around here on SI, do a search
on stem and see what comes up. I will answer your
question though...I say put a one-third position into
ctii, the second third into ctii, and the third
there too. And that is what I have done.

Another way of attacking it might be to find
the indication which you think could pay off
big...do a query like this
recap.com
You will see three of my stocks if you hit that url...
sibi, cnsi, and ctii...although that was just a
shameless plug...I have cnsi for rhGGF2, sibi for
1508Y and their prospect for Alzheimer's as well.
