1/19/99 - Gold miners" treasure found

SAN JOSE, Calif., Jan. 19 (UPI S) _ An archeologist"s fascination with California"s Gold Rush of 1849 has reportedly led to the discovery of a hidden treasure deep inside a Death Valley cave. The San Jose Mercury reports (Tuesday) that archeologist Jerry Freeman was tracking the gold- hunting pioneers" trail when he searched a cave and discovered an apparently 149-year-old wooden chest filled with gold and silver coins and other items. The contents are believed to be worth half-a-million dollars.

Interestingly, your profile additionally states you worked for Heinhold Commodities right out of college; you know, the guys who went out of business sometime after their 1994 conviction for "willfully defrauding the public." I might personally be inclined to leave them out of a profile...
