Art, IBM IR must have read my post #4418 to you earlier and then
decided to preannounce the upside surprise before SI totally scooped
the street again (TIC). Seriously, I didnt see the announcements so
dont know much but depending what was said, and assuming CNBC milks it
big time tomorrow AM, we could gap up here at the open. The fact that
IBM said anything at all makes me believe my 2.47, which is above the
whisper number, is light and they could do much better (2.47 is just
a guess). It will be interesting to see the analysts scramble. I bet
someone raises their target to 240 this week.

Art, more on the future of Notes from PC Week. Looks like R5 when it comes out is going to get Notes to 50 Million users. Interesting comment by Lotus leader on 3rd qtr and impact of Y2K in article also.

I tape CNBC from 4 to 6. Surprising that IBM would say something so close to earnings release. I will have to go look at it after the State of the Union.
