El: Since we are being irrational, is there an omen in my being saved by the bell? The last time this happened, with CPQ, was about,
1996. I placed a "day only" sell order in Paris. Saved by the bell, and assuming it had been outed, I didn't look at it again for about three days. By then I was in Amsterdam. The CPQ price had jumped up. When I called into Schwab they were in the process of filling my Paris sell order - they had already sold about 30,000. I yelled at them to stop. After an enquiry, they admitted their error and that the day order had been entered as a "good till cancelled" order and gave me back my 30,000 shares. The price was surging and I held them for a few more months. Phew!
