To REW, Marty and the Thread:

I was thinking of writing a similar post myself, so I was pleased to see you broke the ice. I fully agree top management should be free to run the ship while the sales department creates and pursues new sales ideas.

Lucky for us, we have a most extraordinary salesperson, whom many of us think of as a real friend, none other than Dixie 7777, a frequent poster on the thread until recently.

When I consider the sales history of TSIG, the company only did 900K in revenues for 1998, but in the 2 months or so that Dixie whas been working with TSIG, they have produced the largest sale the company has ever seen. That was while Dixie was working directly with the thread. And I understand more deals are nearing completion due to his hard work.

From everything I have seen and heard, Dixie has done a great job for both the company and its shareholders and has helped to strongly revitalize the sales department.

I think Marty is doing a great job as well, and that RG is a terrific captain, but my vote for sales leads goes to Rich at

wizard@ragingbull.com

I will continue to send my ideas to him and encourage other posters to do so as well. I have spoken to several other thread regulars who feel the same way.
