tim, i was simply looking for clarification of earnings on this one. it appears that the media has not published this one in a straight forward manner.

in the end, this may in fact be a question of tracking lu rather than asnd. as a point of reference though, i got bit buying cien on the basis of a buyout from tlab. i think, however, this is quite a different story. unlike ciena, asnd has more customers than just att and people are aware of that fact.

Tim, I am positive they made more than 31c. They are not showing to us only because it doesn't matter now.
I know that they stopped shiping after 25th indicating that one weeks worth of revenues they deferred to this quarter, just in case they need to show the continued momentum and not dilute LU earnings going forward.
Stephen sounds like a Schizophrenic and paranoid about the charge. The charge is purchases R&D. They are not hiding any operating expense. If you notice they increased Sales and marketing as well as R&D considerably this quarter. Next quarter they will blow the heck out of numbers just before merging with LU. That will be the last quarter ASND will report as a stand alone company.

FYI if you look at balance sheet. Cash increased to 679 million from 475 million. Stock holders equity is more than 2 billions from 1 billion. This is where you look if a company is hiding exenses in charges. R&D charge does not affect the balance sheet, It may lower your taxes.

Tim,
I sold covered calls on ASND for Mar 95s today for $5, due to Greenspan speech in Congress. I can't imagine him not saying anything negative about the stock market.
Wasn't even aware ASND was about to post earnings. But may buy the calls back if the market reacts negatively. When does LU report.
Any after hours.
