IMHO EGGS is as solid and as good as it gets given long term risk/reward -- cheap as hell compared to alot of the others with nothing going for them but hype -- If it gets hurt on earnings -- I'm buying more -- sooner or later EGGS is gonna be a grandslam from these levels.

Nice post, Jim. Thanks for the forest. :-)

For all those reading, don't count on EGGS to report a stellar EPS number...

That's fer darn sure. All we care about are top line growth, margin trend, and various metrics like registered bidder increase, web traffic increase, etc.

Hi Jim,

Something that occurred to me when reviewing your theory:
<< Also I mentioned to some that I know some of the brokers at Montgomery were playing EGGS 3 or 4 weeks back...all day today MONT was a seller. ...I don't know if many of you have ever left a brokerage firm without first clearing out your account...with the volatility of today's market you don't want to transfer your stock through the ACAT system (which can take up to 2 weeks) without the ability to liquidate your account. I suspect some of their selling was due to that phenomenon.>>

If indeed this were happening, wouldn't the new hires be buying EGGS back once they set up shop at Weisel's shop? In fact, wouldn't they have already done this?

BTW, don't know if you noticed, but NITE, the leading market maker in both Nasdaq securities and the over-the-counter market came in seven cents above the First Call mean, with revs rising 78% to $119.3 million. Who says MMs don't make money?

;-)
