You can get a pretty good idea of the real trading at Quote.com's Live Charts. There you can see the actual time and sales numbers. Try this: quote.com Then click on Live Charts and enter PQT as the symbol. You will see that the last trade was for 6,000 shares at 3 1/4. Earlier trades (before the close) were for lower prices. The black line, noted as "volo" is a volume adjustment that happens when the volume reported by the exchange does not match what they sent down the fee during the day...don't pay attention to that price.

Did you read the fine print of PQT's 12/15/98 Press Release. The reason CEO Porter gave for creating a separate internal division PCQuote.com: "Our website has grown in size and popularity to such a point that it is a sustainable business in its own right. As a distinct business unit, PC Quote.com may be able to raise financing for the Internet business separately from the market data business," stated Jim R. Porter, PC Quote Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. "It will also afford PC Quote.com more flexibility in considering opportunities that are available solely to the Internet website business." The stock of DBCC really took off after they did a separate IPO for their marketwatch.com. This is a very real, exciting possibility for PQT.
