I posted this on TimLuke thread when I finally saw someone mention NN - doesn't anyone care to post on daily boards when NN is moving to let others know? or to let them know what NN is? Hey, nice to know someone else likes NN as well-(~10pt gain since late Dec) - did u know: 1. NN #1 in ATM LAN, acknowledged by LU's CEO. ATM is here to stay as is IP. 2. NN has the only 4 LDMS contracts awarded in the WORLD (haven't chked if any in past 3 weeks) - 1 in Asia, 1 in TX, 2 in Cda - NN beat out NT, LU, etc 3. NN has ADSL - has contract with the prov./state of Alberta phone co Telus and with BC Telecom 4. NN has inroads into Europe, and is one of handful of co's speaking at each of a few conferences in Europe 5. NN in the CABLE MODEM market with Pixstream and ATY/ATYTF, together providing sol'ns in that area - NN will get biz from ATY's contacts with GIC, etc. ATY is #1 graphics accelerator co in the world - and earnings just crushed estimates. A winning combo. Less expense to NN to get this biz. 6. NN is above, but must consider its many other affiliates - which NN gets business from eg. Ultrak, Telexis 7. NN is ATM over Sonet, the blending of technologies to achieve greater speeds - working with NYU and Columbia 8. NN has part ownership in nCipher, an encrpytion co. 9. Potential Partner's/JV's a) NN + ADSL co ??? b) NN + XYLN ?? combine XYLN's layer 4 with ATM / ATM over Sonet (both if these co's are 'independents' 10. Current partners: COMS, Siemens, NOK.A !! Begining to sound like a NSCP from 12 - 18 months ago, isn't it?? BTW I hold FORE (#1 in ATM WAN) and XYLN (layer 4, but others catching up), too. Missed ASND. Considering ASND went for $20B and ASND has data, but LU bot ASND for its switches, NN at current $6.7B mkt cap for the #1 in ATM won;t stay there forever - worth at least 10B minimum and about $15B more realistically - do the math! If there is anything in the above that should be changed (removed or added), post so.
