Drudge actually started out trying to sell himself as a Hollywood gossip guy. He used to post his "report" regularly on Usenet, to great derision from anybody who had access to the daily Variety. Turns out that's where most of his "scoops" came from. A few leaks from the "secret" Starr proceedings, and look at him now. More respectable than the mainstream media! A primary source for the "objective" Washington Times! He's one guy that has to hope the "secret" Starr grand jury goes on forever.
