Ibexx, A DIFFERENT POINT OF VIEW ON A STOCK SPLIT.

If they don't split, it is even a greater BULLISH sign to me.
My reasoning:
-this company is different because they are the most conservative
in accounting
-they know that the year has already been done for all of its
employees with their stock options. Big gains for them.
Might as well try to keep stock low for the next series of
employee stock options for the next year starting in July 1999.
-A stock split will only push the price up faster meaning the
stock will trade higher after a split than it would without one
Nothing will be gained by this. They don't want all of their gains
to happen in one year.
Why not keep some of the "gains" in the stock for next year.
-the equity put warrants--easy money when a steady rise in the
stock takes place

However this is only their preference but I don't think it will work
as well now as in the past. Investors and analysts are on to them.
To sum up, they will do whatever it takes to minimize the gains from
now until end of June--meaning no stock split, maybe even no share
repurchases next quarter, and the cautious statements.
I am not going to be fooled!!! Will buy on the dips.
