Hi Mile

It is slowly dawning on me the gravity of this lack RDRAM

We were all happy to learn on Monday of Samsung's announcement to ramp to 500k chips a month in Q3. But then calculating that these will only fill 62k boxes a month brings me back to reality with a bang!

Target this year is to be in 5% of the boxes. This "year" can only begin in Q3 so to achieve target we have to be in 10% of the boxes in Q3 and Q4.
Based upon 90kk boxes in 99, this is 9KK boxes.
THis means that in addition to Samsungs' 500k a month (360k boxes), we are going TO BE SHORT OF 69KK chips required for (remaining <<< g >>>)
8,6kk boxes.

I believe that Toshiba is in place, MU and Winbond will start in Q4, but does anyone have any numbers projection from these people at hand?

Anyway, it is blatantly obvious that the 5% for this year is a pipe dream
