Jane, thanks for your response. I read this thread daily and responded to Bob's posting of Soros's previous statement. This topic is huge. Maybe were can talk. No,I am not a Jew. I am descended from William the Conqueror's sister's son William de Gant. I come from a long line of lawyers and Christian preachers. I was always taught to be a "Berean" (to search the scriptures daily to find the truth--Acts 17:10-13) not to take unchallenged teachings from others. Jane, we live in interesting times. Research is possible. I believe God will reveal the truth if you ask, study, apply what you learn and grow. I only use the King James Bible to study--not the "traditions of men" which are taught as Christianity or Judaism. Jesus (Yesuha) said, "...IN VAIN they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the traditions of men." Matt. 15:9; Proverbs 14:12 If you use only the scriptures for your answers, you will find that Genesis to Rev. is one unified story without contradictions and equally applicable to all people and generations. God is "no respecter of persons". Man's efforts to explain his doctrines have come up with different"dispensations", replacement theology, etc. when a plain reading of the scriptures reveals unity and truth! Everyone will have a choice (as did Adam and Eve) to choose God's way or man's---with there own free will. That is the why we are here! If you look (with a Greek and Hebrew interlinear King James Bible and dictionary) you will learn that much of Christian doctrine and customs are not there. Through out these traditions one by one and you will get back to Jerusalem...the first century church ...of Christ...Orthodox Jews who accepted him as the Messiah! By the end of that century the doctrines of men started coming in. By the third century in Rome, Constantine convened a council of bishops (except the Bishop of Jerusalem) and started the Church of Rome...changed the day of worship to Sunday...abandoned the law, days, etc. of God in favor of Roman/pagan traditions. "...think to change the times and laws..." Daniel 7:25 A day in your library can confirm this. I am saying that both testaments have to be eternal, consistent truths or reconsider your theology! The mystery of godliness has been much debated, but the Jews' belief in one God and the repetition of that by God himself in the old testament must be reconciled for your doctrine to be true. The three person trinity doctrine of God contradicts that. Jews won't accept 3 gods and neither do I. Good night, LL
