Now, the threads will all heat up, as WE WHO HAVE NO LIFE type our thoughts away.

What is the difference between what HE says to us during the State of the Union Speech, and what HE tells Monica?

There are two golf courses actually, but I wouldn't say they are close to the location. One looks like it is at least 15 miles away (in a straight line, not counting the road distance), and the other looks like it is at least 18 miles away. (Apparently, you are talking about De Anza Country Club and Rams Hill Country Club.) If you have the red DeLorme topographic map book of southern California, the area I'm talking about Short Wash, is at grid B7, on page 115. The golf courses are actually in Borrego Springs, not in the Badlands!

I should clarify that post about having a DGIV basher party out in the Borrego Badlands at Short Wash. The DGIV shareholders had a shindig in northern California, but I suggested that location in the desert for several reasons, one of which was that we'd be among rattlesnakes and scorpions, animals that you people probably feel the bashers are related to!

I was using the old names for those golf courses, from the map book. I know one of them exists at the Borrego Springs Resort, but I'm not sure about the other one.

Speaking of places like Borrego Springs Resort or La Casa del Zorro Hotel, for some reason, I have this vision of you snug in a suite at one of those hotels last winter, while I was freezing camped out in the state park and the cold winds were blowing down the canyon.

Jane, if you're reading this, let me know if you want to indulge in some bad craziness and have a party out at Short Wash. According to the maps, it may involve a 6 mile or so drive down some unmaintained jeep trails. I can bring a GPS navigational receiver if necessary.
