Typically in these deals, the IBM rep calls the NEON rep and they both get commissioned. The NEON rep will get a smaller commission on joint IBM/NEON sales calls than if he had dug up the client by himself. That's why there is friction between the sales guys. There almost always is in that situation.

But, the IBM guy will put up with a little friction to get the cut of the NEON guy's check, instead of calling the really nice HIE salesman who takes it all. Simple economics.

I'm done discussing this issue. But, I do believe it's an issue.
