Can anyone please explain the meaning of this lawsuit in more simple terms and the likely implications if any? Thanks in advance.

JP

Rick,

Thanks for the information on the lawsuit. As for its impact, I think it depends on how much the unspecified amounts turn out to be and whether Spectrum can collect on them. If Spectrum ends up having to pay out a significant amount of money and/or stock to Alex employees, RPA, lawyers, accountants, etc. that they can't collect, it might be a significantly bigger deal than $255,400. It may end up leading to a settlement that will resolve the whole thing fairly painlessly, but it is a bit unsettling to get the sense that the Alex executives may not have been operating with a high level of integrity and to face the uncertainty around potential problems that may bring up. Does anyone have information on whether the shares issues for the Alex purchase are still being held or if they've been sold? The silver lining in the story may be an explanation for where the selling in Spectrum stock has been coming from if Alex Informatics has been unloading stock. Also, whatever amounts Spectrum can collect on the money already shelled out would be be a plus somewhere down the road.

I think this will turn out to be very small tile in a big picture mosaic that remains very positive.
