Randy, trying to understand why Rockwell spun off CNXT and several other divisions. Could not tell from press releases at CNXT site. Was it:
- worth more as separate companies?
- change in strategic direction
- parts not working well together
- getting rid of under-performers
- sell assets to raise cash
- etc.

Also, wondering how their modem business is doing now. I recall the "Rockwell chipset" went up against 3Com's on 56K modems, and many thought they did not do so well.

I'd appreciate any perspectives.
