Ed you bring up a great point. IF Asia were to recover in the latter half of 1999, it could offset any "Y2K bust" as Microsoft is suggesting. That's a big IF.

Ed -- MSFT is a truly incredible company -- but look at the dogs and cats that having been running on the street lately (look at AMZN for example). Greenspan flooded the market with liquidity in October to refloat the financial system which was sinking. It is no longer sinking. This is the time for AG to give the scruffy stocks the haircut they so badly need. MSFT could be collateral damage in the short run -- it is already pretty highly priced and there are a few reasons for a moment of caution here, but no obvious long-term problem with MSFT. My point, why chase it higher now? Listen to AG. He might actually do something more than just flap his gums.
