Boston is a financial center like New York and London... So, I'm sure that they are doing everything possible to swat that Y2k bug... My comments were more of a generic nature rather than specific... With the FED approving another 50 Billion dollars to be available for a possible run on the ATM machines as 2000 approaches, the mindset of the public is of concern here... Even the best capitalized banks can take a big hit on their available reserves if a large % of their depositors started withdrawing larger than normal amounts of cash within a contracted time frame... The average bank has a very small amount of actual cash available as compared to their overall paper assets...
