Weby: Interesting sidelight you may have seen today in various publications: ONSALE announced it is going to sell on its web site "new" computers and accessories to the public at the same wholesale price it pays for them. ONSALE claims it will not make a profit by marking up prices to the consumer. They will attempt to obtain sufficient revenue off advertising on their web site and from fees for service contracts . This will put initial pressure on retailers and eventually on the margins of CPQ, HWP, IBM, Packard Bell (NEC), and all other box makers.This is another reason for PC makers to include EMBASSY in their PC's to share in the revenue collected from digital content offered through WAVX's metering technology.
