Famous Guru and Prognosticator E. Nostradamus Charters predicts lame-rear old fusty single user non multi tasking systems with lotsa bugs should disappear real soon now. And so should archaic badly patched GUI's with lotsa more bugs and crash prone architectures like X.

On another note somwhere different we tried the Amaya browser which is a browser-editor for XML,(surprise!) HTML and other formats that can load a webpage and edit it and, under some cicrumstances, with HTTP "put", actually update it. Buggy it was, and it would not remember links (had no save feature for fave sites!) but it shows promise. Put out I believe by the dread W3C commission, justifiably world famous for non commercial, out of date, bug laden "test platforms" with advanced design and stupendous possibilities.. however it does show promise.
