I must emphasize that @Home command the better of the two most attractive and most pragmatic broadband access technologies today.
@Home's future is much brighter than all the baby bells is because it pretty much monopolized the Cable access market, thanks to T/TCI's backing. Baby bells may have the slower DSL to counter @Home, but DSL access is NOT MONOPOLIZED the way like @Home to the Cable market. SBC has to compete with Bell Atlantic for the same lunch, and there will be countless others who will join the DSL fray. But @Home stand pretty with its cable access. There is no competition to @Home on the cable side. Thus, let us suppose Cable and DSL win about half and half the entire broadband market, @Home will get the entire 50% revenue. The rest of the Baby bells divide the other half. That's way I believe @Home will be WILDLY successful.
