Lee; Thanx, and I just posted the news that would prick it,
but maybe it won't get around. <G>
----------------
You know with all the high flying internut tulips,
if ONE and just one, gets it's butt in a crack,
like AOL, YHOO, AMZN, ATHM, LCOS, NETA..let one of
them get come under investigation ( for seeding the earnings )
and get called to a halt, any one. And you will see that
house of cards take a tumble, and if they take a big dip,
then the leadership is gone.
Mutual funds have kept their little secret, as they have been
buying these babies ( big time ) so if the babies fall Navs
drop people want out, and then what.
---------------
Seeding, you know how the gold miners from time to time "seed"
the so called discoveries. Well there was an article not long
ago on the street dot com ( I think it was ) ..and the
author had traced the earnings back,,,to guess who ?
Yes, it's the largest share holders who have been the ones
paying for the adds to make then show a profit...
Seeding and then selling.

>>Can you say blow off top

BLOW OFF TOP.

>>Just can't figure out what news could burst the bubble

No need for an outside reason.
What pricked the bubble in Japan in '89?
What caused the '87 mini crash?
And a match company going out of business is no reason to the '29 crash, just a hindsight excuse.
Bubbles burst on their own when they're done.

The Nasdaq has been above the upper band of its 90% moving average envelope for the 28-week EMA for some time. It's about 6% above. Last week, it bounced off the upper band. Another interesting item is that the spread between the 21-day high (2408) and the 21-day low (2014) which is almost 20%. The largest spread was in October's rally off the lows which was about 30% ---- 1357-1769.
