Chuck, always nice to hear from you and eventho you may hold no more desert dirt shares you have a good history here as someone we all know and like and trust. The merger and dirt value looks good, so if the follow thru by Maxam is as good as predicted by the hopes of Richard, then you will be knowned along with others as those who got the wheels turning in reverse direction so the IPM wagon train did not travel off the cliff. It was close, very close like those tv movies where only seconds are left before a save. I heard by rumor, 2 more days and IPM was to be into Chapter 7. The 2 days here is like 2 seconds in those movies where total lost would happen. But the movie is scripted ahead of time, and if true the 2 days, then we were very lucky along with the effort made. Again if true the 2 days, I remember weeks that this thread was in a total downess after learning about the Chapter 11. So almost as if unknowned to this thread there was a chance to undo the damage and reclaim a value for IPM shareholders, but the clock was ticking towards a day in the near future and unless we got there first the Chapter 11 to 7 was to happen and be final. You said Eldon Slife's desire for the merger to go through [is real]. I believe you and rather say that I apology to Eldon I wish Eldon to understand where I am coming from, as described in the top of this post, and to understand that until the merger happens that only those that have a need to know to accomplish the merger do I feel confortable with in knowing the details. And I strongly would like an answer from Eldon in knowing why he wants the details made public on this thread knowing the awful history of IPM events. And no matter how trustful you are of him, in my option he does not have a need to know and should not be told any details above those in Aaron's e-mail status report assuming that he pledged his shares. If he did not pledge his shares, and Eldon could identify this in his next post if he did or did not, but if not, then he should not receive any info outside this thread. Robert's story of the little bird is very good and I can add that another conclusion can be made in that if the situation is life and death like in the bird, or very important, then be careful and if in doubt then do not act or say or sing unless really necessary. Chuck, you know I am sometimes too blunt with my posts, and I do not wish to put words into your mouth, but in you post you wrote << but I never knew ... who to believe >> so with the current merger being more than an money importance to me, I will, as in science or math or engineering, only trust one level. I trust you, you trust Eldon, but Eldon is a second level to me and I will not trust him eventho I trust you and you trust him. Not with the merger. [ from Robert ] everybody who $hits on you is not your enemy. everybody who takes $hit off you is not your friend. when warm and comfortable in a pile of $hit, keep your mouth shut! Doug
