Could you expand re: Fannie Mae etc.? I don't know much about those agencies? How do"consumer bankruptcy futures" work?

Bonnie: It's unbelievable how much debt there is in this country, and how its significance is swept away under the radar. As Ole49er points out, the latest trend in mortgage and consumer debt is to package bad loans into REITS and derivatives. The most amazing thing is the amount of dumb money scarfing this junk down.

Let me tell you another shocking yet little known statistic - the consumer bankruptcy filing rate is today 6 TIMES what it was in the worst of the DEPRESSION! That's the RATE, not the ABSOLUTE NUMBER.

Ever seen how many TV/magazine ads there are today for bankruptcy services??
