Nice work. Did a similar check on the same baloney as put out by INTC.
The "overbuild" I referenced in earlier posts is real. For Intel and MSFT, it was actually good news short term and less than good news long term. Big orders from the box builders equaled increased shipments for both, although more so for MSFT which is still a monop.....oops,....a major player in o/s. MSFT gets a royalty no matter the price of the box, so they don't take a hit in the PC price wars. Intel, on the other hand, has competitors, so they are being pressured.

The inventory overhang acts exactly as if both companies had "pulled sales" from Q1 to Q4. No wonder both are guiding analysts to lower expectations for Q1.
