The iMall statistics are nice: 30% productivity increase in software development, almost tenfold increase in software performance. This is not the top of the range in my experience, but it makes a very respectable case for adopting ObjectStore. I hear that there are other ObjectStore customers also replacing their non-ObjectStore products with ObjectStore. Many of the early adopters only used ObjectStore in performance-critical system components. They are now realizing that ObjectStore is the only dbms they need.

Versant (VSNT:Nasdaq) forecast a loss of between 55 cents and 61 cents per share in the fourth quarter, well in excess of the three-analyst consensus of a loss of 13 cents. The expected loss is before restructuring and other charges the company expects to take to pay for job cuts VSNT had little cash before this. They are now circling the drain IMO.
