Highlights of Greenspan's speech in plain english: 1) Smart people are rich because they know how to turn on the computer. 2) Don't ask me why the stock market is so high. 3) Only rich people will have good medical care when they get old, and everyone else gets aspirin. 4) The casino is rigged so the odds of making money on the treasury bond and the odds of making money on stocks are equal when stocks are fairly valued. And casinos have use for all unwanted money. 5) only people old enough to be dead will get social security. 6) Our military expenditure program is a soviet welfare program designed to make jobs for retired congressmen and military personnel. We have to fund it so congressmen will have jobs after their congressional districts don't want them anymore. 7) Don't ask me, you don't listen to the answer anyway.
