Greenspan not thrilled about investing social security $$ in stocks. But he doesn't get a vote in this, does he? He says it'll create a lower rate of return for Social Security recipients. Huh? I thought I heard someone last night (in the Republican Response?) say that the current rate of return is less than 3%. Doesn't make sense...

Mohan,..Re:.No damage from Greenspan.

How do you know that this dip wasn't just the daily 10 o'clock dip? I interpreted his comments as positive and warning the politicians OFF meddling with market dynamics. Both through legislation and scandal. He really is a firm believer in independent markets and market action. From all I've read, he is loath to intervene on free market forces.

Happy Wednesday,

Lee
