You see the Presidential proposal is to invest a small portion of the funds in the market which I think is a good idea,should certainly get one more than 3% over time.I have no idea why Greenspan is against it.

I don't know you know this but Chile privatised their social security a few years ago and the program is working very nicely as far as I know.

Although Clinton said last night that his plan would allow people to choose how their money grows, he again somewhat misleading. His plan calls for the government to invest SS$ which is exactly what Greenspan is worried about.
