Update on rejected orders. I got through to a DATEK rep about 10am EST, to inquire about my cancelled market sell order which was stuck at "cancelling" for a half hour. He told me that it had actually executed (this turned out to be incorrect, and I wish I'd asked his name). Based on this information and the price he told me I had sold at, I placed a market buy order to re-purchase those shares, which executed promptly.

When I saw "rejected" appearing with that original sell order a half-hour or so later in my Daily Activity screen, I called DATEK again and spoke to a different rep (I do have his name). He assured me that the sell order had NOT executed and was indeed rejected for some unknown reason. So I guess rejected means just that.

Thank goodness this trade foul up has worked out in my favor, as the stock (NXTL) is still moving up rapidly. I'd be a lot more upset if it was the other way around. But once again, in only the second time I've ever called and spoken to a DATEK rep, I apparently received totally erroneous information. The first rep assured me that my original market order had executed, and I acted on that information, which was apparently wrong. And this is very disturbing.

Is anyone getting good order confirmation/execution this morning? I just tried selling some of that same stock on the express 7 server and I got an error message that I couldn't short sell on a downtick. Even though I have 5 times as many NXTL shares in my portfolio as the number I was trying to sell. I next tried a regular server and could not even get a confirmation page.
