Les, I think one of the reasons that Liberals love keeping poor people poor is that they quit voting Democrat if they ever get one rung up on the ladder. I used to vote straight ticket Democrat. I was a true believer. I was convinced that if it were not for the Democratic Party, USA, I would never be able to earn a living or better my life. The whole deal amounted to "Just keep voting Democrat, Comrade, and we will keep getting you the crumbs...". Then I started noticing how rich these Liberals were. Look at Bill Gates. A classic example of the Liberal Elite. He is worth 80 billion dollars but do you think he wants to pay his workers a living wage? No way. A hugh percentage of workers at Microsoft are contract labor with no benefits at all. He could afford to pay his employees a decent wage if he chose to but he is the Liberal Elite. I had many friends who worked in "Hollywood" as artists, special effects people, etc. Do you think people like Stephen Speilberg (card carring Liberal Elite) pay their employees a decent wage? Hell No. They get scamed worse than any coal miner I ever saw. I could tell you about endless labor-law violations that I saw these major studios commit. They talk the talk, but they don't walk the walk. -John
