MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Jan. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Remedy® Corporation (Nasdaq: RMDY - news), the leading provider of adaptable enterprise applications, today announced results for the fourth fiscal quarter ended December 31, 1998. Revenues for the fourth quarter totaled $50.1 million, an increase of 29% compared with $38.8 million in the fourth quarter of 1997. Operating profit prior to acquisition related charges totaled $10.1 million, or 20% of revenue, in the fourth quarter of 1998. Net income and diluted earnings per share were $7.6 million and $0.26, respectively, excluding non-recurring charges related to the acquisition of BayStone® Software. Net income and diluted earnings per share for the fourth quarter, including acquisition-related charges, were $5.6 million and $0.19, respectively.

For the twelve months ended December 31, 1998, revenue increased 22% to $157.4 million from $129.2 million for fiscal 1997. Fiscal 1998 net income totaled $21.0 million or $0.70 per share excluding acquisition-related charges. Net income including acquisition-related charges was $19.0 million or $0.63 per share.
