robert,( off topic), Alan G. is saying that to Congress even as we speak. " Use the surplus to reduce the National Debt ". This is all very simple. We got a ....G......I........A......N.......T National VISA/Master card-like debt. Even WE can't even pay it off now.( we barely are making the monthly payments now, and call that now a balanced budget; for years we only had deficits; Ronnie turned this around in 1980 ). It is OUR CHILDREN AND UNBORN who are saddled with paying off this tax. This is taxation without representation. This is not only anti American. It is I M M O R A L. There are ...............N...O.................................................. Religious, moral or economic principles that can defend this. First, you relieve posterity of this debt. OFF TOPIC: If you're really interested in zapping the debt(and I know you are), the 'liberals' have to be shown for what they are: Money hoarding, greedy and rapacious people(believe me: many of them have redwood decks overlooking wilderness area. They just don't want you to have one). Their solution for EVERYTHING is to get more money through taxes, fees, law suits and any other method(they've proven to be very creative in this area) they can come up with to redistribute the wealth in this country. They are the problem and I don't care what their party affiliation is(they come in all shapes even republicans. You have to listen to their words). I'm not sure any of em have worked a real job in their life. JMO PAS
